In the previous plays, reality was tirged by the filter of poetry, tenderness, magic and nostalgia. But not in Glups!!. It does not mean that there was no poetry: it is just a different kind of poetry, destilled from rock concerts, special TV quiz shows, the aesthetics of discotheques, comics, and the sales of department stores. A non literary base was deliberately sought: the comic. In this particular case the comics made by the French draughtsmans Gerard Lauzier.
