"We were looking for a story with an individual drama that mirrored a collective and social drama; that defined one way of understanding reality. We were looking for a story containing the intensity and the simplicity required to be explained trough the language of musical. We were looking for a topic close to us, but with a universal dimension as well. Mar i cel by Angel Guimerà, opened the doors to this last work, to this last adventure".

Mar i Cel is a play that represents the clash of two worlds, two irreconcilable cultures, and it is also a beautiful love story whose intransigence makes it tragic, a story of misunderstandings set in the 17th century that, unfortunately, has countless parallelisms with the intolerance of the world where we live.
