"By
accident something by Rafael Alberti fell into my hands: Yo
era un tonto y lo que he visto me ha hecho dos tontos.
So I proposed to stage these poems as an exercise and,
almost without realizing it, we had a play. We decided
to perform it before an audience and we looked for
a name: Dagoll Dagom. It sounded fine. When I was a
kid I used the words Dagoll Dagom for everything that
was useful for either writing or drawing.
Martí Farreras, a theatre critic and friend of my
family came often to my house and he used to greet me by
saying: "Good morning Mr. Dagoll Dagom". This is
where the name springs from.
